Who we are
A conservancy rooted in Lopeei
Set in Lopeei, Napak District in Uganda’s Karamoja sub-region, River Lokichar welcomes visitors into wild scenery, rocky hills, and a living cultural landscape. Our work sits at the meeting point of wildlife stewardship and cultural pride.
In Karamoja, daily life is shaped by resilience — including subsistence agriculture and pastoralism. We honour that heritage while opening doors for nature walks, rock climbing, camping, cultural dances, and deeper community experiences.
Whether you come for a day of trails and picnics or a multi-day immersion, you are not a spectator — you are a guest of the land and its people.
